How to Test
- Wash your hands.
- Get comfortable.
Either stand with one leg elevated (like on a chair) or sit comfortably on the toilet. - Collect your vaginal sample.
Open the swab package carefully without touching the soft tip.
Insert the swab gently into your vagina, aiming toward your lower back.
Rotate the swab for 10 to 30 seconds, making sure it contacts the lower third of your vaginal wall to absorb fluid.
Secure your sample.
Place the swab back into the collection tube, seal it tightly, and follow the instructions provided to prepare it for return shipping.
Send it back. - Use the included prepaid shipping materials to return your sample to the lab.

FAQ
What’s the difference between BV, a yeast infection, and trichomoniasis?
While these infections can cause similar symptoms, they have different causes and require different treatments:
- Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is caused by an imbalance of vaginal bacteria.
- Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of Candida fungi.
Trichomoniasis (Trich) is a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite. Testing is the only way to know exactly what’s going on so you can treat it properly.
